My employee has finished onboarding but I can't find them in Xero?
Before an employees details are sent to Xero you must add the necessary STP details to their onboarding.
This enables Xonboard to complete the setup process of a new employee within Xero.
You can view onboarding session in progress by logging into Xonboard. This will also show you which employees have completed their onboarding and are ready to be sent to Xero.

When an employee has completed providing their details, you will receive an email notification. The notification will provide a button for you to complete their onboarding, and send the details to Xero.
The steps to complete the process are:
- Review the details the employee provided
- Set the Single Touch Payroll (STP) fields
- Complete onboarding & send to Xero
Note: Previously, the STP fields were set when the employee was invited to Xonboard. We moved these fields to be set after the employee has provided their details as some of the STP fields are dependent on the information the employee provides (such as residency and working holiday maker status).
