Why is my employee's onboarding session appearing as Abandoned?
Information on what the Abandoned status means on an onboarding session 👻

Introduction

When checking on employee's onboarding progress, you may notice the status of the session update to Abandoned.


Context

An employee's onboarding session will appear as abandoned when the employee has not completed their onboarding in the allocated time frame, which is 14 days from accepting the invitation.


In some instances, you will not be able to view any of their details and will only have the option to cancel the onboarding session. This occurs when the employee has completed little or none of the onboarding steps.


If you have set up an ATO connection, and automated super stapling, and the employee has abandoned the onboarding without providing a super choice nomination, Xonboard can request details of their stapled fund from the ATO and return them to the system. In lieu of a stapled fund, Xonboard can automatically default them to the employer default fund.
